Vida Footy is excited to bring you the April School Holiday Skill Development Program.

This is a new program with a fundamental focus on developing your skills through video analysis and repetition over a short intense training period.

So what is different in these specific sessions?

• Video Analyses will be used in each session to get instant visual feedback
• A visual report at the end of the three sessions for each player on skill development and body use in contests
• Age group-specific groups
• Gender-specific groups
• Small coach to player ratio’s – 1:4 max

All three sessions will encompass

• Kicking both sides
• Marking – uncontested and contested with footwork and body positioning
• Groundball – uncontested and contested with footwork and body positioning
• Handball both sides
• Tackling – technique and the importance of footwork and body positing
• Leading & Running Patterns for various positions
• Spoiling Technique
• Body Positioning

  • Session 1 – 12.30 pm – 2.00 pm
  • Session 2 – 2.00 pm – 3.30 pm
  • Session 3 – 3.30 pm – 5.00 pm

  • Bulleen Park – Specific meet point will be confirmed prior to arrival

  • The grouping will be age and gender specific. We may need to switch you from one group or time slot. Please list your first preference on the registration form by selecting the time.

Private Footy Skills Sessions

Private skill development sessions take place throughout the year and can be 30min, 45min or 60min in length. The sessions provide the opportunity for the individual to get a clear understanding of their fundamental technical development through the use of video analyses. Players learn how to continually repeat the skill in a closed-skill collaborative environment, followed by open skill under pressure.

From all our experiences of coaching junior & elite players in various sports in Australia & overseas, we have seen that it is our role to provide the environment & education, and the player’s role to absorb, experience and give effort. These two factors help players achieve their goals.
